Welcome to Alexander’s General Store located in Stanley, North Carolina, formerly known to many, many hunters and beaglers across the country as “Earl Alexander Company”. This company has been in my family since the early 1940’s and it is with great pride that my husband and I continue my grandfather’s and father’s business.
Alexander’s Feed and Seed was started around 1942-1944 by my grandfather, Earl Alexander. At that time in Mount Holly, NC, my grandfather owned the only grocery/gas/feed store in town. My dad, Blaine Alexander, worked in the store most of his life, delivering feed and groceries or pumping gas. By 1980, my grandfather was unable to care for the business and my dad began Earl Alexander Company, named for my grandfather.
After Dad took the business, he learned to make dog collars and leashes from scratch, creating the highest quality collars and leashes available. We still make them from scratch, with Amish leather, and using the same tools and methods. Because we make these products ourselves, we can keep our prices at a fraction of the usual pet store prices.
My dad passed away in 2007 and being the only child, I promised him that I would take care of his store/business and hopefully one day pass it to my oldest child. My husband, Jamie, and I strive to provide each and every customer with the highest quality service and products, just as my family has always done.
